It was created by Hugo Ensslin at the Wallick Hotel in New York. 4 Part Plymouth Gin 1 Part Maraschino Liqueur 1 Part Lemon Juice 3/4 Part Crème de Violette Glass: Coupe Cocktail Cherries 1. Add gin and maraschino liqueur to a shaker. 2. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice. 3. Add Crème de Violette. 4. Add a scoop of ice and shake well. 5. Take a chilled coupe. 6. Double strain the mixture into the glass. 7. Garnish with a stick of cocktail cherries.
