The Negroni is another cocktail with a much disputed history. The most prominent story is of Count Negroni who ordered an Americano but asked for it to be “stiffened up ever so slightly”. The bartender returned having added a shot of gin. The Negroni was born. 1 Part Beefeater Gin 1 Part Campari 1 Part Sweet Vermouth Glass: Rocks Sweet Vermouth 1. Add equal parts gin, sweet vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass. 2. Add a scoop of ice and stir with a bar spoon until diluted and chilled. 3. Fill a rocks glass with ice and strain mixture into it. 4. Garnish with two slices of orange.
