The first mention of a bourbon Old Fashioned goes back to 1881, probably accredited to the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky. 2 Part Jameson Black Barrel 1/2 Part Simple Syrup 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters Glass: Old Fashioned Orange Peel 1. Measure the whiskey into an Old Fashioned glass. 2. Add simple syrup and Angostura Bitters. 3. Add a scoop of ice to the glass 4. Stir well with a bar spoon. 5. Garnish with the zest of an orange, squeezed over the top of the glass and drop in.
