Beefeater gin continues to be produced to James Borough’s original 1863 recipe, leading with a citrus profile of bitter orange and lemon, and finishing with warm spicy notes of coriander and almond. Inspired by James Borough’s previous career as a pharmacist in Canada, Beefeater is produced using a unique process of ‘steeping’, where our nine hand sourced botanicals rest in the alcohol for 24 hours before distillation, a process creates a more complex and longer lasting flavour, and one that has earned us the title of the world’s most awarded gin.
