About this Event

Real Talk is a series of virtual roundtables bringing together the hospitality industry leaders. This session we're looking to discuss about mental well-being in nightlife.

Time: Add to your calendar to view the time in your timezone.

6:00-7:30 PM (AEST-Sydney, Australia)

Speakers:

Anne LÖHR: Psychologist, therapist, speaker and trainer. Part of Music Industry Therapist Collective.

Rei ALPHONSO: Psychologist, trainer, founder of Loving Justice Projects.

In the fast-paced world of nightlife and hospitality, mental health concerns such as burnout and exhaustion often go unnoticed until they reach critical levels. Long hours, irregular sleep patterns, and the absence of downtime gradually erode mental well-being, affecting not just individual workers but the entire industry.

The discussion will focus on Australian hospitality industry. Anne LÖHR and Rei ALPHONSO will join us as guest speakers to give professional insights and practical suggestions. Together, we'll explore the root causes of burnout, identify early warning signs, and discuss their impact on mental health in the Australian hospitality industry. Through collaborative dialogue, we'll uncover effective coping mechanisms and self-care strategies tailored to the unique demands of nightlife work.
