The Cosmopolitan was created in the 1980’s but it was not until 1988 when a bartender named Toby Cecchini perfected the recipe and created the Cosmopolitan as we know it today. 1 1/2 Part Absolut Citron 1/2 Part Triple Sec 1/3 Part Lime Juice 2/3 Part Cranberry Juice Glass: Coupe Flamed Orange Disk 1. Pour the Absolut Citron vodka and triple sec into shaker. 2. Measure in the freshly squeezed lime juice. 3. Top with the cranberry juice. 4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously. 5. Take a chilled coupe. 6. Double strain mixture into glass. 7. Over the glass strike a match, gently roll the match over an orange peel and squeeze to create a quick flame. 8. Drop the orange peel into the glass.
